Great location, close to resturants and the Sprint Center.

The location was perfect for our trip. We were greeted by a valet upon arrival and walking into the hotel lobby you are instantly somewhere 'special'. This hotel is not like most!
We booked a king bed and received a room with 2 double beds--my husband is very tall and the smaller bed really is an additional discomfort. The television was small and there are no drapes over the windows--so no sleeping in! Upon check out, there were several mistakes on my bill (extra valet parking charges, restaurant charges and an additional night). I left quite frustrated.

Beautiful Lobby.
A little disappointed with the room, glad to hear you are updating your rooms. Disappointed with $18 parking fee. Asked about special advertised in magazine, front lobby worker said unable to give us the same rate, better customer service would have given, that is how you get people to come back and recommend your hotel, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Enjoyed the old character....in the middle of city life.
We were in the small $100 end room....needed an exhaust in the bathroom. Needed mirror in the bedroom.

Perfect location, everything we needed was in walking distant, staff very helpful, shops in the area were very nice.
The cable had gone down for the evening and there was no appology or anything...were told we could watch it in the bar. A so sorry and a cheese plate would have been nice or maybe no charge on the parking...other than that it was a perfect stay

The best aspects of a boutique hotel. A great location from which to walk to all of the downtown sights.
Parking was a little weird

Nice atmosphere, fantastic entrance hall and lots of nice communal places to sit.
Room cleaning was poor.and inconsistent. Toilet paper had been forgotten twice. Pillow cases were make-up stained form previous guests. Tray with ice bucket/glasses covered in dust. Generally a lot of dust on surfaces that are not frequently moved (light fittings, wall paintings ice bucket tray, back of tv etc).

Great historic vibe and friendly staff. Rooms are a bit dark, though.

Great old Kansas City style. Loved the Art Deco detailing. Gracious hospitality. Rooms fine, clean, we were up high and loved the city views, both at night and in the morning.

I prefer to stay in restored older hotels because they have so much more character. They are 'darker' than modern hotels, but that's just the style. Huge, quiet, very comfortable room. I could find nothing wrong or out of place. Very nice bar. Three blocks from the Power&Light district.
The carpet in the elevator needs shampooing. This is true almost everywhere.

The hotel décor could use some modernization.

Enjoyed top-class staff and spacious hotel.
Had a real good time. The hotel was charming old and exceptional and the room was brand-new. Booked a room with incredible views of downtown. The venue's position was absolutely perfect, adjacent to so many restaurants. A few times I ate at Dott Boss, located just a pleasant stroll away from the hotel.

We took the kids to Kauffman Stadium, only a 15-minute drive from the hotel. The location was perfect for exploring, and the staff went out of their way to, providing helpful tips for nearby family activities.
My kids wished there were more kid-friendly dining options available. While the hotel was nice overall, having a dedicated children's menu would definitely enhance the experience for families.

The Speakeasy was a hidden gem and a highlight of the stay. Breakfast was enjoyable. The limited menu options detracted from the experience. Service during breakfast was slow due to only one person working. The location near the Convention Centre was convenient, but the cleanliness of my top-floor room left something to be desired.
